Geological Threats
by kathy@truthisbetter.org

There are urgent geological reasons why people of all nations need to stop creating unnecessary problems and work together. Scientific studies have correlated the demise of past species and human civilizations with geological events that were unknown when human and animal history was first written.

  • Caldera Volcanoes Caldera volcanoes are so big that when they explode they blow out a section of the earth's crust and sink at the site rather than forming a volcanic mountain. Yellowstone is the largest known caldera volcano. It explodes approximately every 700,000 years and is due to explode geologically "soon" again. When Yellowstone explodes it will throw 3-mile lava and rock shards hundreds of miles and blanket the mid-west in 2 feet of ash, destroy agriculture and cause a "nuclear winter" for over a decade in the entire northern hemisphere. For more info check US Geological Survey Yellowstone Caldera Site
  • Mammoth Tidal Waves, much larger than those caused by earthquakes or typhoons, are caused when parts of volcanic mountains crack and fall into the sea. Fresh rainwater is trapped in the volcanic rock and boils to steam, cracking the rocks more with each eruption. Scientists at the Benfield Greig Hazard Research Centre in England believe that Cumbre Vieja, one of the world’s largest volcanoes situated on the Canary Island of La Palma, off the northwest coast of Africa will some day cause a gigantic tidal wave that will travel accross the Atlantic devastating civilization along the U.S. eastern seaboard with a 40 to 1500 ft high wave. Waves do not diminish when traveling accross the ocean. When tidal waves hit the continental shelf underneath, they rise to full height. A Jan 5, 2003 Guardian article reported the damage done by the relatively small Stomboli 20 ft high tidal wave. Emergency planners in England are discussing preparations for a larger tidal wave.
  • Large Astroids may hit the earth, devastating civilization. The dinosaurs are thought to have been wiped out this way. See NASA's web site for discussion.

It might be possible to:

  • Solve our energy crisis by pulling energy from Yellowstone's core and thus relieve the pressure, preventing or delaying its next explosion. (This is a real stretch, but no greater than the Star Wars II anti-missile program.)
  • Provide fresh water to Africans from inside the island's volcanic rock, and by doing so prevent the island off the Northwest coast of Africa from cracking and causing a mammoth tidal wave.
  • Watch for incoming space objects and send up a space rocket to cause an explosion to deflect its course away from the earth.

For our own well-being, the U.S. needs its administration to focus on solving planetary problems and developing good relationships with other nations.
