The earth is warming due to human activities. The United States adds more to global warming than any other country. The Bush administration has dropped out of International efforts to control global warming and has implemented policies, such as war and space exploration, oil and gas subsidies, reduced funding for alternative energy development, and undone environmental laws, that increase the rate of fossil fuel burning and global warming. Global warming threatens plant species which cannot migrate to survive the climate changes, cause oceans to rise, threaten water supplies, etc. Our earth ecosystem is endangered. Reputable scientists see global warming as a severe threat.
